from Basic to Advanced

Saturday 30th November to Sunday 1st December 2024

Time zone - London U.K.

Samyama - from Beginner to Advanced

This retreat will be taking place online from Saturday 30th November to Sunday 1st December.

During the retreat we will look at the practice of Samyama in the Advanced Yoga Practices system.

We will especially look at:

  • The basics of the practice
  • Advanced aspects
  • Using Samyama off the mat
  • The process of samyama becoming automatic
  • Dharana, dhyana and samadhi and how these relate to the practice
  • Samyama as an aspect of self-inquiry
We will look at the role that Samyama plays in the overall process of liberation as we learn to release things into silence.

All practice sessions will include Asana, spinal breathing pranayama, mantra meditation and samyama. Full instructions for all practices will be given.

The retreat will be led in English. Class times are in London (UK) time. The classes on the retreat will not be recorded.

To take part, it is recommended to be in a quiet location, where you can focus on your spiritual practices over the two-days of the event.

The studio that will be used for the online retreat

“Our deepest desires can be enlivened by systematically letting go into our inner silence. Whatever we surrender will come back to us a thousand-fold, purified in a divine outpouring. This is “Stillness in Action.”
” [Yogani]
